Hi all

just wondering. How do you know if you have a sufficient clean up crew? I have x4 astraea snails x 1 trochus snail. X 2 "fingernail" snails. About 20 asternea stars that chill on rocks and not corals. And a brittle star. Approx 25cm legs. Lol.

I don't know what els to get because I keep getting brown algae on the glass. See pic. http://i827.photobucket.com/albums/zz197/bradlowes/58ff6eb8.jpg

I'm just wondering whether I'm Been daft or should I just keep cleaning this myself? I don't want to pollute the water by just letting it fly off and around my corals / fish as sometimes it's quite stringy unlike a freshwater algae.
:confused5:

also, how can I tell if my clowns are happy? They are eating fine, they are often out and about swimming with my other 3 chromis and don't fight at all. And then retreat to there little cave for a cudddle! Lol. There is no heavy breathing or fast movements of been scared so I think it looks positive but I know everythings all new and learning for me so any help would be appreciated :)

thanks.

Brad

everything sounds normal brad, the diatom will burn out in time. Im surprised the trochus snail is not making light work of it. Is it a black foot tiger trochus?

It's not a blAck footed one I don't think. It's a little scaredy cat! Hides all day and comes out at night only on rocks. Rarely I do see it on glass but there is so much on the rocks they probs don't bother lol

thanks mate. :) I'll just leave it on glass?
