Ive got a 35Gallon Cube style tank with 2 small perc clowns, 1 sulphur goby & sixline wrasse. Which extra fish do you guys recommend for me to get next im not sure! Looking to pass the sixline wrasse on to anyone who wants so I will only have 3 fish then. Im after reef friendly fish that get on with my inverts (hermits, snails, peppermint shrimp etc).

How about a blenny, The are really great characters and stay pretty small.

Bicolour or Midas would be good.

Yeah I used to have the both of them but will they not fight with the goby?

Possibly, if there are not enough hiding spots in the tank.

What were they like before when you had them in the tank? did you have any problems?

The midas & the blenny used to squabble all the time.

mmmmm they would do being two blennies, not quite sure if one of them would recognise the difference of a goby to a blenny though!

So not really sure on that one now I have thought about it!

What about some of those Bangaii cardinals instead?:D

I would not mind trying a hawkfish. Good to watch, they just sit there and wait for the grub to come by.

I heard they can go for critters in the tank:confused: , small shrimp etc.

Worth the risk though, as they are great characters and an lovely colour! Mine is the smallest fish in my tank 1" BUT everyone who comes into my living room sees him first! :D

Strawberry Gramma isnt it a thug??? I would go for the Orchid Dottyback (I have 1), reef safe and a beautiful magenta colour. Absolutely sound for a tank that size, friendly and hardy IMO you wont go wrong with one!

Hi,

Would have to agree with Reefer, re. Strawberry Gramma, mine was a right little (Bleep). Met his match when he came up against the algea blenny.

The Orchid Dottyback as Reefer sugeests, lovley little fish.

I have a strawberry pseudochromis and I must say, never again. :( He's a stunning colour but has a real attitude. He gets on with my two clowns who were there first and never bothers my bicolour blenny. But he harassed my firefish to death, and between him and the bicolour my watchman goby only dares peer over or between the rockwork during the day. Poor thing only comes out at night when the other two are in bed!!

i would go for a midas, these have personality! royal grammas are great but can become Territorial over time! cardinals are good if you can get them to pair!

what would you prefer - a low dwelling fish that spends its time on the bottom and close to the rocks or another free swimming fish?

there is plenty of choice in the small fish section, blennys, cardinals, grammas its your choice but make sure they are compatable with the ones you have in your tank already.derek
