Hey Gilly shows you have a good mind so many homes you go into these days don't have books even on the coffee table  Nothing like a good read :D Ok maybe watching your lovely fish in the super clean glass tank :D
Excellent pictures thank you for sharing them.

Thanks guys. Campbell, I nearly freaked when you said that, then I scrolled down :D It took me about an hour of scraping then a further hour of cleaning & repositioning Tunze Streams. Not sure if it was a particularly well spent Saturday afternoon but it needed done ;)
The camera I use is an old Canon EOS 300D DSLR. Its only 5 megapixel but still produces good pictures. We are currently attempting to resist the temptation to get one of the new 400D's.

Hi Gilly,
Come on now, you have kept the secret far to long, its about time you spilled the beans, How on earth do you get such fantastic water clarity?
Your tank is a real gem. :)

Thanks for all the very kind comments, I'm very critical of my tanks so its nice to hear other people's comments.
As to the water clarity, well...I've found camera's hide a multitude of sins :o There is a constant snowglobe effect in the main tank which has been going on for ages now. I've tried lots of things to clear the water: home made bottle filters, filterfloss in the sump and now 200 micron filter socks which become clogged up after 48 hours or so with no effect on the main tank at all. If you look in one end of the tank, the other end is hazy at the best of times...completely missing at others
However, I was watching the tank the other night when I suddenly had one of those ureka moments whilst watching my blue cheek goby spit sand everywhere, the small particles were staying in the water column
Am now resigned to the fact that the water will never be completely clear...but I have clean sand
Eric, the Orange Shoulder is a very placid fish really, defers to both the Regal Tang & Emperor Angel but sticks up for himself when needed. I have a fairly aggressive community tank anyway and it seems to be in balance at the moment.
