Thought i'd posted a thread about my tank before however when I went to update last night couldn't find one! Strange... :confused5:
Anyway, here goes, my setup is about 330L after LR displacement. The tank is a bow fronted glass at 128x45x54 cm (LxWxH) with a 3ft sump.
I started in November 2008 with a cheap chinese tank bought off ebay and some crap equipment bought cheap from a closing LFS. :32:
There is about 40k LR in the tank. Flow is provided by a couple of koralia's. Skimmer is an APF600. Started with TMC v2 400 (which was crap). Upgraded to MCE600 (which was noisy). Then got AM Multi SL 1000 which was good but decided to pick up the APF cheap for when I upgrade! :smilewinkgrin:
Tank temp is controlled via a TC-10 running a 300w heater and AZOO 4 fan unit kindly donated by Pete (cl0wn) :thumbsup:. Tank now maintained to within 1 degree of setpoint :14:
Sumped the tank myself last July time after a crash wiped everything out whilst I was at work :32:. Have about 3000 lph flow theough the sump. Skimmer is gravity fed which seems to be working great!
Recently started running zeo (fortnight ago). Not sure what to make of it so far as NO3 and PO4 have doubled since I started. Will keep you updated as to the zeo progress.
Coral wise I have a mix of Soft/LPS/SPS corals, all of which (touch wood) are doing great (bar 1 plating monti that seems to have reduced polyp extension since starting on zeo :confused5:).
Fish wish I have too many methinks but I can't help it, they look great. Have accepted though that I can't have any more :frown2:. I have 2 (mandatory) clowns, 1 watchman goby, 2 convict blennies, 8 green chromis, 1 regal tang, 1 sailfin tang & 1 yellow tang.
As for inverts, I have 1 cleaner shrimp, 2 monster turbo snails, 1 sand sidting starfish, 1 pincushion urchin and a few vibex snails.
Think that's it so will post a few all important pics and wait for the tang police to show up :38:
