if you added the recommended dosage of f/2 and harvest at 10 days you should be ok

Well if you go by the book, its hard keeps crashing.
i do what your not supposed to do.... keep lights on all the time and in my setup the phyto is blooming, i am producing far too much now.
wish i could say the same for rotifers which i have loads of adults but limited babies.

Might give it a bash then.
The rotifer reactor is working unbelievably for me, much better than expected so I wil probably need to scale it down a little.

might go back to 1012 sg, as it was very productive then rather than 1020sg i am doing now so little salinity difference from main tank.

I run mine at 1.017 as I was under the impression that rots are ok with swings of up to 0.007.
May be wrong with that fact though.
Mark - whats the professionals opinion?

ye think your spot on Sazmo, just dont understand when i run at 1.020 i get lots of adults but not much young, yet at 1.012 it was very productive. Think Mark rates 1.019 / 1.020 as a good salinity to go for. Only other thing that i have done differently is the food, the food comes out a drip bottle rather than a syringe.

i had a really good production goin, feeding my tank 1.5litres every 2 days. after bout 4 weeks the algai started to build up so i took a 100ml bottle out and drained rest off, cleaned reactor out added 1ltr of salt water at 1.017, added the 100ml back in with 0.5ml of feed, fed over next few days at 0.5ml. then woke up one morning with what looked like sea foam on top, and no rotifers in sight. smelled really bad as well. geordie if your interested pm me, their also a large bottle of feed with it that i recently purchased.
