the culture is going really well i think, used a tea strainer today to put the first lot into the nano for my scooter. there is still millions of them lol. it was surprisingly easy to do as well, i swapped a load of asterina star fish for a 500ml tube of them to get me started.
the perc should look even better at the end of the month when i get some corals off suggs :)
just need rid of the bloody flat worms now :)

you made any mods to the filtration at the back???

not too much, its mainly been tinkering that has got it working lol.
im only using one weir comb before the skimmer, then a peice of padding (from a pond so doesnt collect the crap as much) just to dampen the trickling noise. then ive got the same type of padding directly after the skimmer as i was getting micro bubbles in the display, that has stopped now. then ive got about 4kg of live rock, plus some phosphate remover (use it for about 2 weeks every month). then just the standard return pump.
i can only manage to get one pump working in the other end, the wholes in the acrylic dont allow enough water through so it drains down too quickly. at the mo im just using the top one but i could do with getting the bottom one sorted as well. has anyone else had this trouble??
im using 2x koralia 3 in opposite corners pointing at the front/rock, then 1 koralia 1 for surface agitation. ive never needed to use the heater as my halides warm it up enough lol, tank is stable between 27-28 deg usually

weird mine is exactly the same with weir comb and sponge. had to remove the second comb because i upgraded the return pump. the circulation chamber holes are a pain, and have to be kept clean, i use a toothbrush. the holes for pointing the pumps out of also act as an intake by using a piece of tubing smaller than the hole, this allows water in. the bio ball chamber, i have as a fuge. i have LR rubble and caulerpa in there lit by a small tube attached to the outside rear of that.

i think the circulation chambe ris more my fault than anything else. i removed the grotty black backing and replaced it with the blue acrylic. i dont think i drilled enough holes lol.
but im now running an external filter and uv, the filter outlet is in the circulation chamber so this may be enough to let me have 2 pumps again, trouble is the pump died so i cant test it at the mo.

the flame angel is fine ...now lol
it scoffed a nice big hammer i had in about 3 days, but i was not feeding them much due to algea. now he doesnt have a go at anything. he is defo the sherif of the tank...keeps my blue damsel in check cos that can be a little ******
flames can be hit or miss with corals....mine only ever picks at my scoly when it opens up to feed, otherwise it hasn't touched anything. Hopefully it doesn't get a taste for anything else in there
