Sick Fish?????

Hi
visited a LFS yesterday and saw one of the assistants put a largish marine fish into a freshwater (stocked) tank for a short period of time.Why would this be?

Hi Nikki, It is called a freshwater dip and is used to cleanse the fish of any parasites it might have on it. (I think!)
