Button polyps

Where are they best placed in the tank please? Mine are low down with moderate flow and don't seem to be opening properly?

Hi,

I had the same problem with my polyps, I ended up putting mine almost to the top of the tank and they show most of the time now but if I move them down in the sand they don't show at all, Don't know why cause I've seen them on the floor in other tanks with the similar lighting and flow to me.

Sounds like you have them in good position,

Maybe a little more time would help.

Too much flow will keep them closed until they get used to it... could be that. Plus are your fish brushing past them constantly? as that will keep them closed.

Thanks everyone.The fish are rarely near them although now and again a hermit will crawl through them but other than that they are pretty much undisturbed.
I will try leaving them untill I change tanks and see how they get on then
