How suseptable are tangs to ich? Have read they are very prone to it but have seen a purple tang that I would like to consider once I've changed tanks if they're not too risky. Are there any that are easier than others?
Thanks
Nikki

Hi Archer Tangs are prone to ich but only if they are stressed for any reason, a purple tang would be ok in your new 400 litre tank but i would put him in in as the last fish. Plus you will only want that one tang in that size tank. When you get it make sure you feed plenty of algae sheet as tangs are herbivores and need this in there diet. HTH. Eric

If it helps, I am considering a Purple & Yellow for my 4x2x2.

Thinking about it only (just in case the Tang Police are watching ;) )
