I,m a complete newby(only had marines a few months) and through all my reading thought that you could only keep 1 dwarf angel per tank...however I have seen a tank(a large one) with 2 different dwarf angels? How large a tank would be advisable for this.
Thanks
Nikki

Hi Nikki. Dwarfs angels are very aggresive with there own kind unless they are in a very large tank ie 200 gall upwards. Unless you get a matched pair ie that have been brought up with each other. I have got a Bicolour in my 7x2x2 and i would not like to put another one in with it, i am upgrading to a 4x4x3 which is half as big again so i might add another one when i put it in there. HTH. Thankyou both.Think I will stick with my single flame angel as I would hate to cause any unnecessary stress.

providing you have a tank over 150galls with plenty of rockwork in it putting both angels in together and in most cases should not pose a problem.most angels will squabble when first introduced but usually settle down within a few days.the two flames i have have not posed any problem.derek

hmm. ive always beleived fish of the same speices will fall out if of a similar colour there are some exceptions of course but its always worth considering this, i reckon put both in together so one doesnt have doninance

the smallest tank i have seen with to dwarf angels was a 350l tank but the owner made sure they looked completely different and where introduced at the same time.
but a bigger tank would be better to give them space to get away from eachother

So if I wanted to consider it it would be better to do it when changing over tanks?
