Water change, and find out what caused it.

Yep dilution would be the best option.

There is an old saying in the fishkeeping world that the solution to pollution is dilution as said by others. Do you have any fish in your system at present if so you need to remove them with ammonia in there. HTH Eric

You may also be advised to find out what has caused the spike to start with...
Have you suffered any losses. ?(missing tank mates)
Are you over feeding.?
Have you added to many fish to quickly?

Dilution should work.

But my thinking would be remedy the cause not mask the problem.

Measure levels after each change - once zero, you should be OK.

If it is at danger level, apply tiny amounts of ozone until it is oxidised to nitrite then nitrate. If you have ammonia the water will look clear with the lights off but with them on will look cloudy. If the water doesn't look cloudy, then try another test kit before applying ozone. Be sure before you do it. Don't use ammonia detox products they are sulphide based. You can smell it when you open the bottle but don't take a big NIF.
