I have nothing to do with this tank Steve. Mandy goes mad if I go near it :D She has done well with these animals and I'm proud of her. :)

Thanks to everyone for the nice comments. I've always been fascinated by seahorses and never dreamt i would be able to keep them myself. I don't feel i deserve that much credit as these tanks pretty much look after themselves, if set up right in the beginning, great for new starters like me. And of course i have the best advice to hand, even if i do have to ring Marinetech like anybody else, as this is where Chris spends most of his time :D :D
I'm sure this is why he bought me my babies in the first place, so i would have something to keep me busy while he devotes his time to THE SHOP :D :D
Thanks again from a fishkeeper's widow:D

Wow, those are amazing. I have read that Seahorses are quite difficult to keep so well done.

One thing though I thought I'd point out, if you don't mind that is. The mushie in that last pic, is it Actinodiscus = discosoma?

If not I am wondering if it wise to have it in there as I believe all the others, info taken from Eric Bourneman's book, are capable of this quick "purse string" closure technique of trapping prey. In the book he shows a Bangaii Cardinal getting trapped, and subsequently eaten by a Rhodactus sp. mushie.

I don'r mean to be a scaremonger but thought I'd mention it.

I have read that article and I have only ever witnesses it with the large purse string mushroom. Even so, the animal was 20 times the size of its prey(which was a lance fish by the way, that I popped into the hole at the top of the purse ) Thanks for the advice though.

They get fed with vitamin enriched mysis. They love it. They are fed 3 - 4 times a day.;)
