Can anyone help me? My female clown has got "popeye" and some kind of "lockjaw" and I need to treat her asap. What medication would you advise and do any of the sponsors sell it?
Thanks,
Chris

The main question is do you have a fish only tank? Copper based meds work well with this, but they would nuke any inverts you may have.
If that is the case, do you have the luxury of a quarantine tank? (Sadly many of us dont including myself)

Are you sure it's not just had a bump? To be honest and in my opinion you will stress the fish out massively by putting it into a non mature qt and then you won't be able to monitor it over the weekend imo a recipe for disaster. If it was mine i would leave the tank alone, keep your hands out and give the fish plenty of good quality food, little and often, and see how it goes.:D:D

From what I have read, if both eyes are "popping out" then it is down to disease. I have moved her into the sump whilst I'm away for the weekend and hope that when I return she is still alive.

Good news on my return home. She seems to have recovered fom both the lockjaw and popeye. I expected to come home to the worst so I'm over the moon :D

You will be surprised how resilient marine fish are-the best course of action is often to leave well alone and feed high quality food little and often. I'm glad all is well:bigthumbup::bigthumbup::D:D:D
