Anyone had one?
What corals and inverts have you found they nip at?
Are they successful in eating aips?
All experiences appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Hi Craig i had a Fasticatus one that would eat aips till the cows came home, but he also ate polyps and fan worms and the odd long polyped softy, but its a case of try it and see as they are not reef safe but you never know. Twiggy:D:D

By polyps do you mean soft corals such as zoanthids and clove polyps etc.
What about SPS and LPS?
I have a lot of small fan worms in the tank since I removed the marine betta, if ate them it would be a bonus.

It's spot on Eric thanks, the others left it alone after a couple of hours and there hasn't been any more disagreements since-fingers crossed. It eats well too:D:D I remember reading about a fasticatus years ago on the dark side-so i did a quick search and it was yours-obviously i didn't know you then:D

I had a Racoon which I bought specifically for getting rid of a mass of large Aips on 45kg of second hand rock I bought.
Iput the rock and fish in a holding tank and it ate the lot in 24 hours. I was amazed as there were loads of aips, and never saw another one on that rock again.
the fish was latter transfered to my main tank where I never noticed it picking at any corals, (but it ate like a pig when fed frozen brine shrimp.)
I did not have any hard corals in the tank at the time but did have a couple of large fan worms which seemed ok. the only thing I will say is that my zoas were definatly happier once it was gone but I never actually saw it nibble them, they just were closed up most of the time.
