Aye aye everyone.
My sausagesausagesausagesausagesausage coral has for the last three days looked progressively worse. :frown:
Could be the heat - I've left my radiator off all day with the lid flaps up and the tank is at 29C.
Yesterday I took out one piece that had grown apart from the main one body by splitting off onto the live rock, as it looked all mushy with bits coming off it. Now I'm noticing it could be starting on the other one.
I have no piccies to show of it, but should I just cut my losses and chuck it before it could potentially pollute the tank?
I'm leaning that way...
Any help is greatfully recieved (and the swifter the better too - not to sound too cheeky)
cheers one and all

apparantly my coral cannot be named on the forum and is replaced with a load of sausage..... umm...
I'm sure you know which it is but it rhymes with 'fussy' :o

assuming it's a pu55y coral. only thing i can suggest is have a fan blowing across the surface of the water to lower the temperature.

If I were you I would bring the kitty coral to the surface pop it out smell it and if it smells rank you have your answer ;)

I would put a fan over the top if you can anyway

It could just be shedding like a normal leather ?? they sulk too IIRC

thanks for the tips guys
I have had a fan on over the water and the temp is more stable now, but I tried piglet's tip and PEEYOOO!!!! It stank of pure fetid evil!!
I have removed the majority of the manky coral and replaced the main body bit which still looks (and smells) ok.
bloody heatwave.....
