Got 2 tropical tanks running at mo both sparkling clean, so really fed up with this!

Hi Lilyann, welcome to Reef Corals ;)

Its such a shame your so far away, I've got buckets of RO coming out of my ears at the moment. Well not quite literally...ran off extra in case it was needed for my new tank but wasn't in the end so they are dotted about the house waiting to be used.

Think you're right about getting rid of the ocean rock. You'll be much better off starting with some good quality liverock imo. What are you thinking of keeping in your new tank then?

Hi lilyann

Welcome to the site, you will find that were a friendly bunch, some are saine others well ermmmmmmm...........

Just take it slow with your new marine tank, have it well planned out, before you spend your cash.

I.E Filtration, water flow, lighting.

What will determine the above factors is what you want to keep in your marine setup.

Im just recovering from a marine disaster .... tis my own fault though.... have a read of my threads.

if you are unsure of anything or just want to ask something just ask. The guys here will be more than happy to help.
