Hi all, anyone any experience of keeping a Flame/Scarlet Hawkfish. My wife would like one sometime but I'm concerned about their compatibility. Have read that they can be quite aggressive?

I currently have a Yellow Tang, Powder Brown Tang, Yellow Banded Clownfish, Keyhole Angel, 4 Green Chromis, Orange Spotted Blenny, Scooter Blennys, Six Lined Wrasse, Emerald Crab and a shrimp. Also, 2 nems and plenty of soft corals.

The tank is full at the moment and I woiuldn't intend putting another fish in now, but should a space become available I know what the wife would like to put in there, but I have reservations.

Any advice?
Ta,
Dave

Doesn't Cav have one of these? Sure I saw it in last months FOTM? Might be worth checking his tank thread for any info or give him a pm.

Yes I do:) I've had her around 10-11 months. I've not got her in with any big fish or any shrimps (except my boxer which can hold his own).

She did hassle my YWG a couple of weeks after putting her in and chased him every time he came out but now they ignore each other.

My clown is queen of my tank and quite often chases Scarlet off but Scarlet doesn't bother any of my 3 chromis, Royal Gramma, Clown, Boxer or YWG. You do see her occasionally flip a snail over but then she scoots off.

I tried a Red firefish a couple about a week after I moved house and unfortunately Scarlet bullied it death but prior to moving house I had a firefish which she left alone (unfortunately I killed that one by not putting a strainer on my maxijet in the transport container when I got the fish to the new house:()

She is an awsome active little fish and loves to perch and watch what is going on outside the tank.
