Hi all have been having probs with the old white spot but I think I am now winning so I am now looking to buy a UV for my tank. I do not have a sump so would need to have an internal pump to run the UV and pipe work (I currently have a fluval fx filter and I like the way the pipe neatly go over the lip of the tank so will need them as well rim connector?) Can I please have a reasonable price? Will be looking to get it next week end all being well. Thanx for lookin... the tank is 300l will b movin to 400l but not for long time..

what about running ozone through the skimmer?

Ozone is a much better option as far as actual kill rate goes, BUT, has LOTS of potential problems in use, and WILL be far more expensive to set up and use correctly. You could run a UV inline with your existing filter, however the UV MUST be able to take the full flow of the rated output of the filter, or it simply will not work. So, first thing to do is look at the output!

obviously do loads and loads of research and reading before using ozone as it can be dangerous when used incorrectly.
