Hi all,

I have been researching the Swallowtailed Angel (Genicanthus watanabei) but have run in to some conflicting info.

Some say that the male has horizontal stripes but others say the male only has outlines to anal and caudal fins. Also some say it's difficult keep while other say easy.

Has anyone ever kept one or more of these? If so, could you shed some light on the above please?

I am going to keep searching for clarification on the 'Net but I am hoping that some one here would know.

Ta,
Campbell.

Campbell when I get the time today I will help look for some information via books / the net. I am not a fishy person but am not surprised on conflicting reports. I hear so many storys each day from other members. That what can be entertaining, to near astonishment when we have these reef meetings, conflicting reports / advice from others including reputable companies.

the male has horizontal stripes on its body, female has none.it does well in a reef system with non aggressive fish and is not difficult to keep.i have kept this fish for a good few years without any problems.derek
