My clowns have laid eggs again and i was wondering how long the incubation period is. I realise that the fry will be live food but i wouldn't mind looking out for them before they get eaten. I saw the female laying on the 4th March-midday/evening. Thanks Gaters:D:D:D
Forgot to say the female is an orange occ and the male black & white occ.

Unfortunateley i don'thave the facilities or time at the minute to raise them so alas they will be free food for my other fish:frown::frown::frown:

8 days is the normal incubation period but it can vary depending on what the temp is,at a higher temp they take less time & at a lower slightly longer.derek

You can see them in some of the eggs, they laid on the back glass so I scraped the paint away, thankfully it's beside the till at work so could get good access!

They're amazing-could you put a post up, if you've time, of what equipment etc you use to get them to this stage. I would like to eventually have a go at rearing them. Cheers:D

i find it amazing that these animals feel comfortable enough in captive to reproduce, it really is a testamont to the skill and time put into peoples tanks,
