Hi all

thought id treat you to a look at my tank now its settled down

seems a long time since i was pestering everyone with questions about everything to do with setting up marine! well 10 weeks on and it seems to be ticking over nicely. lost a couple of fish on the way (goby and a banggai cardinal), at first was worried there was a mantis shrimp in there, but in the end i put it down to stressed out fish and a very efficient clean up crew.

i am hoping to work towards a fuzzy dwarf lionfish, but realise that this will be well into the future once my fish have grown big enough to share the same tank, but as it stands, i have:

13kg live rock
2 black n white clowns
1 banggai cardinal
1 firefish
10 turbo snails
6 blue legged hermits
2 serpent stars

my many frags include
orange, green, purple zoas
yellow finger coral
daisy polyps
pulsing xenia
'mouses ear'
leather coral
Ricordia
torch coral
green mushies
brown mushies
nepthea (so i was told. it came attached to the live rock and its doing fine!)

i'm feeding the fish on frozen brine shrimp and flake alternate. i also feed with the frozen invert food.
my water tests are showing no cause for concern. All in all, things are looking good

just like to say a big thanks to all the advice given by forum members. thanks also to the Bluzoo staff for helping with my setup.

my next effort is to get some more frags in the tank, and will be looking for any bright coloured corals(reds, purples, blues, yellows). i would also quite like some hammer coral, frogspawn coral, so if anyone has any nice frags, or knows of any going give us a shout.

many thanks

i only clean it up once a week. just use a scrubbing pad and give it a quick once over. actually, it needed doing in that pic! its usually better than that.

dunno, are you doing regular water changes? and how old is the tank? mine has settled down a lot since its initial cycling phase. only have to clean the glass every other day now.
