I recieved some green star polyps on saturday, but there not attached to anything .... bizzare.

The base is fairly solid of these polyps .. like rubber. Also very thin lick extra thick string in some places.

What I have read of these is that they are extreamly difficult to cut away from live rock.

Well I want to attact them to live rock.

Im guessing that I will need to cut the polyps in small pieces.
Total size is circa 10cm x15cm

Any ideas on how to attach?

Loose elastic band around a piece of rock?

Either that or the glue. In any case I dont think it will take these long before they are spreading onto the other rocks.

BTW the Reef safe glue would be superglue gel or anything that is cynoacrylate based. Nothing else.

Can I slice them i.e. cut 10 bits and attach all 10 to different pieces of rock?

If not then B******* !!!!
