Hi all im planning on making my own wave controller useing a a very simple control that i can get hold of from work,my question is what pumps can i use that wont wear out in 2 mins? Bearing in mind that i want it done cheaply so tunze are out of the question:D:D

Hi Lee most pumps soon knack up when switched on and off continuously, thats what Tunze have done but still not perfected it as my £300 wavebox went tits up after 4 months. I remember when you had the powerheads and the wave controllers, i was always changing the P/Hs as they would only last about 6 months before giving up. The thing is you are going to try one pump and see how it goes, Eheims are a good pump but soon rattle when stopped and start up over time. Twiggy:D

if you mean wavebox then you can use the maxijet mod. if you are on about a wave controller with some powerheads then i've got one you can have dirt cheap.
