Welcome aboard mate. Are you from Hull? if so the one bit of advice i can give you is once you find a reputable LFS (marine tech) stick to them. There is another one in Hessle called KKC, He'll help you get started and keep you on the straight and narrow because there are some expensive mistakes to be made!!

Woah Woah steady on Jambon.
Please can you reconsider you post that is naming non sponsors i.e a quick edit of the non sponsor names(I know you have good intentions).
The board is at risk of legal action, even if the opnions are true.

Second that. You all have to stick to no names, regardless of your own feelings. Please keep to providing positives and don't take offence to our comments.

Hey no worries mate, I was in the same situation a couple of years ago. If I had followed the advice from all the different LFS I would have been in a whole world of trouble.
Whenever I know someone now that is thinking of starting out, I always tell them to get on a forum and read all the info they can get their hands on.
That way they can actually make an informed decision on what the shops are telling them.
Thanks for those nice words m8, ( i'll give you that tenner next time I see ya)
I've never been to Marine Tech but I think its a fantastic venue.:D :D :D
