Doing my usual 2 weekly water change (15%) i decided to have a closer look at all equipment, noticed the flow from the skimmer was lower thn when first put so decided to take it out and give it a clean (not done since tank put in 8 months ago) when i put it back together found the problem last time i took the pump out (as i do with all pumps) to clean i must have got the pipe kinked restricting the flow. Now its flowing great getting loads more skimmate out. what a numpty i am:o another lesson learnt at least it hasnt cost me any livestock of corals

Hi i know how you feel done the same myself in the past. Thats why i check stuff every week and clean the pumps every 2 weeks and it makes a big difference to how the tank runs. Twiggy:)
