I have one similar to that in my tank. Don't know what it is though. :confused:

If it has pointed claws its more than likely a bad xanthid crab, if it has spoon claws its possibly a mythrax species but if in doubt best sump as a lot of mythrax crabs are a bit dodgy

Yes I would say its a crab, definately, I think it was the claws that gave it away!

I have one that looks exactly the same in my tank that came on some of mickys live rock. He said he's had it for ages and its never been bad! I just see mine grazeing on algae and bits of left over food and oyster spawn!
