Ive forgotten the name of the fish in the picture below however i was wandering what is the best type of food for him. He doesnt seem very keen on reaching the top of the tank for food. The one with the orange tail and checkboard body.

Also the algae growth that is occuring on the glass what is the best cure for this would you recommend pureflo filter pads to remove this or is there anything else i could use

The tank is exposed to a large amount of light being located near a patio window.

The fish your asking about is a Chaetodon xanthurusor a Pearlscale Butterflyfish.
They are peaceful fish and may not be veturing about due to the Tang in the tank.
Reference the algae. Are you using RO water? What are your nitrate/phosphate levels? What are you using for filtration in the tank?

He does venture around the tank quite happily just worried about him eating but ive managed to research him a little now that i know his name and realised its up for eating clams and the like so will give this a try.

Back to the algae yes always RO water ...... all the levels remain perfect too!
