brown algae

well my tank has been up and running for about 3 months and i am having the brown algae bloom

is there any way to keep the amount of algae down as it is all over my sand bed.

Other than adding some more clean up crew and syphoning a bit out with water changes there's not a lot you can do. Indeed, ime if left alone it will burn itself out in a month at most.

Al part of the cycling process. As Gillybaby has said, it will burn itself out in time.

Just looks a bit ugly thats all.
