was sold this coral as a soft orange plate coral but i cant find anything like it on the net so was wondering if anyone new exactly what coral it is?

saw 1 like that in a local shop was told it was a sponge.

Looks like an Orange sponge to me. They can be quite hard to keep too,

ah right not the sort of sponge iv seen before but it could be im not complaining as it was a bargain at £16

Hi it is a sponge, and difficult to keep as they dont like strong light they need to be in the shade. Also i hope that it has not been lifted out of the water as it will die if it has. They are a lovely colour but should be left in the sea like a lot of other things. HTH Twiggy:bigthumbup:

It at the very bottom of my tank never remove corals from water even though sponges are inverts but still the same thing applies hopefully it will do well had for a few days now and its looking good so far.

Hi it should be ok if kept in the shade as they live in dark areas in the sea, keep us informed how it does. Twiggy:bigthumbup:

can you not put it on righthand side of pic,as it looks like an over hang with shade under it.

its less than a cm roughly over hang not much
