Anyone know what this is, a few inches long and stuck on the glass.

Hi Col it looks a bit like a Medusa worm, have you seen any in the sand on your tank bottom at all. HTH. Eric

I've seen nothing in my sand since I added a Tunze!!! It's settling in heeps but I have seen the odd yellow threads blowing around the tank lately.
