Hey everyone hope your all well im not overly worried about my xenia as its looking healthy and its fully extended all im asking is why a xenia wouldnt pulse? I have checked all parameters and everything is spot on I got the xenia 7th oct in the afternoon it has had to be moved around alot due to tomuch water flow bashing it about alot (poor thing) but now its in the middle section of rock in my tank with mod/high lighting and mod flow and looking fab. Any Suggestions other than stop talking lol.
Take Care

Hi

Flow may be too high, they tend to only pulse if in a low flow area, if in a high flow area they don't need to pulse.

here's a good article on Xenia... It's a funny old coral, some people can keep it and some people cant.

Try increasing the light or at least moving them up closer to the light. My Xenia likes blue moon lights as well after the main lights have gone out.

Thank you everyone who responded id already moved the Xenia up higher where there was less flow and more light and found it wasn't pulsing lol iv rang a couple of LFS and they advised me similarly so im not going to worry to much about it lol

my xenia used to pulse like crazy but a few months ago i cut my lighting down by 2 hours to stop the tank from over heating and since then i have noticed it dosen't seem to pulse very much at all.will have to notice if it changes back when i increase the lighting back to what it was
