My dad's breaking his reef tank down to go back to tropical fresh water.
He has some nice Softie corals and Live Rock going for a steal if anyones interested, the rock has some green hair algae on it but still good quality.
Leicester if anyones interested. Let me know.

Hi Eric, Me, Dad and my Uncle all keep marines and it is our opinion (ahem) that Leicester aquatics is the best at the moment, dont know if you knew Dean who owned it for years, great chap, sold up to Chris who seems to be throwing himself into the shop. He's been in for 13 months now and making continual improvements, replacing old show tanks and generally upgrading all aspects of his shop from coldwater to marine.
Fit Filtration in Castle Donington used to get visited a lot before he sold up as well.
Dont know if you would enjoy Ocean Commotion too much, nice shop, good selection of dry goods and fish but he seems to have cornered the market in thin tangs.
Clearwater Aquatics used to be good too.
To be honest though all seem to be falling by the wayside in Leicester Aquatics wake!
Who do you visit when in town.
p.s. drop me a line next time your in town and you can come and have a look at my tank.

Hi Glen. I used to go to Deans at Leicester Aquatics my self i have known Dean for years. A few months ago i was in Deans old shop an did not know he had left and met Chris who seems to know what hes doing. My cousin used to live in Oadby but now lives in East Leake, but i and a couple of m8s have a ride out every few months an get down your way. Next time were coming i will drop you a line and pop in a see you. You are right about the shop in Clarendon Road selling extra thin Tangs and charging a fortune as well. Clearwater always have a nice display in and he will move on the price and is very obliging as well. We used to call at Fit on the way in and have a natter with John as i have known him for years and have a lot of respect for John as well. Eric

Hi Eric, your more than welcome next time your down this way.
As for John (ex Fit Filtration) well, he is a legend in Marines, he built the best tank systems in the world, his business even took him all over the world as you probably know. One of his last jaunts was over to the states to brace and sure up a huge system!
On a smaller note! I have a few corals from him and a bi-colour blenny I bought from his shop, it was a blow when he sold on.
Clearwater has always been good when I have been in but according to my uncle they are on a down-turn marine wise at the minute, but knowing Yousef he will pull it back into line!
See you next time your down Eric, we will do a tour!
Glen
I used to go to Ocean Commotion and Clearwater. Used to pretty good shops a few years back when I used to pop in. Eric, if you have another trip down, I could pop along with you if you want some company?
