Couple of questions for you,

What is your salinity reading on your refractometer? The one that reads ppm, should be in the 30's range?

What are you running in the external?

Setup looking good.

1.024 is specific gravity reading it usually varies with tempreture, salinity is measured in ppm and should be 35.

my temp is 26 C. And mind refractometer is D&D and it reads 1.000 1.050 1.010 1.015 1.020 etc. So what should it be.

1.024 @ 26'C is 32.3ppt.

As londonreef says you need to be at 35ppt, which @26'c is 1.026 specific gravity :D

Oh and I've only got T5's my tank is going to be stuffed with LPS and SPS :eek::D

ows the Skimmer working for you? is it pulling much crud out?

i just left it my light system broke and i thought, stuff i'll just use my old light. this tank is a few years old, first my mate had it and before that it was the display tank in my lfs.:eek:

i got mine 2nd hand £450 all was fine then built in filters went then i was gettin electric shoks of the lights just before xmas 07 and had to buy all new gear now ave got the hagen t5 high outpu single and double lumanire

i made this which i will wrap pond netting around, and tie them down with cables ties:

What should i replace my anthias with

i know im getting a jawfish these are my other options

1. A few more chromis, to make a group
2. A few more pyjama cardinals, to make a group
3. 2 Ventralis Anthias
4. 2 Diamondhead Anthias

Jawfish is coming on Wednesday/Thursday from an LFS finally, after nearly 2 months been let down by two other lfs's.

And another little surprise will be coming too :), you'll have to wait and see what he is

One problem the home i made for my jawfish is now inhabited by my pair of firefish, which if have a suspicion are spawning,

because one gets really fat, then stays in the tube, and only one comes out to feed, and then the week after, the other will be back feeding, and the other in the pipe.

so i have added more tubing which i am going to prop up and if i can im gonna try and get my firefish out of the pvc and into the other one.

sadly i have lost, my fireball angelfish, and 1 anthias, and my other anthias doesnt look to good, aswell as my corals look under the weather, and me the guy from my lfs have come to the conclusion that it was down to the heat wave yesterday, and the tank getting to hot, i wasnt in all day, so i couldnt have prevented it
