hi
a couple of months i had abrown algal bloom i thought that i had cured it by cutting lighting hours cut out some food also i used some rowa-phos .
everything has been ok for about 2 months i now find that i have a red algal bloom .my aquarium is 12 months old it is 3ft long 2ft deep and 20ins top to bottom i have live rock and fish &corals.can anyone help solve my problem.

Do you have pics as it might not be a diatom bloom

Red could also mean cyano. As James has said without pics it is very hard to identify algae.

I think the algae as eaten Tim LOL. Put some pics up Tim then we can give you some answers.:) Eric
