I dont know if thats hair algae but what you could do is get 22 hermit crabs - 11 blue legs and 11 red legs place em on the algae with a marble, sit back, crack open a stella and cheer on your favourite team.

Hey who knows it might take off.

Mike
Sorry I cant identify the algae.

Could be a form of Briopsis. Try algae page a www.saltcorner.com. If it is briopsis very few things eat it. It is usually associated with high flow areas and the only way to get rid is by tooth brushing it off.
