I got a small pincushion urchin from Macca last week. It has been fine until today when 1 of my halloween hermits was on it snapping off spines and eating them:mad:. I got it off-but the urchin has now moved to the waterline and hasn't moved for a few hours. Has anyone else had this and will the urchin recover? Cheers Gaters:D:D:D

Hi Neil i believe the Halloween hermits are not classed as reef safe or so Macca was telling me. I may be wrong better check with Macca first . HTH Twiggy:D:D

Cheers Eric, i only have 2 and they've been good as gold until this incident. I'll have to put them in the sump on the new tank if they get out of hand.

To be honest i think Macca said they were like any hermit-with caution. The urchin has moved now and is busy munching algae off of the glass so it looks ok.:D
