Ok i did the cardinal sin of buying some snails off fleabay , their feedback is good and they state marine snails (i put a daft bid in and won)
They are cerith snails and look like they should but i am surprised to find most of them over 24hrs headed straight up and out of the water as opposed to the sand bed.
Is this normal or is it possible there is a cold water cerith snail ??

Usually its their own method of self acclimatisation, they will come back in when ready.

Never heard of a cold water cerith, but with eBay you never know.

Why didnt you get your critters of Macca? you KNOW for sure they are the real deal, and he will probably beat the eBay price anyway!

Hi are you sure they are tropical marine snails, as a lot of snails sold on ebay are collected in Cornwall and sold as ok for marine tanks. Put a pic up and i am sure Macca will ID them for you. HTH Twiggy:D:D

They look like Malaysian trumpet snails to me which are freshwater tropical snails but it's best to get it verified by Macca or someone else with abit more know :D
