Hi folks i recently bought a Tunze Wavebox from SeaMe.com and it has gone all to pot, does anyone know if Tunze have changed the pump in these units as i had one last year and it shifted water like nobodys buisness but this one is rubbish. The driver box is getting that hot you cant touch it and the controller lights are staying on all the time, plus there is no power coming out of the pump at all. I have been in touch with Tunze Germany and they say send it back to them for repair, but i am not very happy about paying all that money and having to have it repaired after 2 weeks. Has anyone got one who can tell me what pump theres has in, this one is a 6260.10 and i am sure that the one i had last year was a 6200. Also where do i stand as to having this replaced rather than havng it repaired as i bought it oversea's rather than the UK. Eric

Just had a look at mine, its a 6260.10.
Is it Tunze you are sending it back to for repair? As I would of thought that if its only 2 weeks old then SeaME.com should be replacing it.

I have been in touch with SeaMe and they told me to send it back to Tunze Germany. As i said i am not happy sending it for repair at this age. I know that Tunze have had trouble with the propellor an the one that is in mine is a solid piece not one you can take to bits like the old one. Eric
Eric, if I were you I would demand my money back. Do they have a choice in this matter?

Yeah I'd agree with Kev. The retailer has a responsibility in these matters and cannot refer you straight to the manufacturers.
If it were me I would get in touch with SeaMe.com and tell them that you want a replacement sending out, and you will send the defective one back to them for THEM to chase with Tunze.
As an aside have you actually got in touch with Tunze to get their opinion on it? They might come up with a better solution.

Hi. I have been in touch with SeaMe and they say that it needs to go back to Tunze, and as it took 7 weeks to come from SeaMe i am reluctant to send it back to them for a replacement. Also if i send it to Tunze UK i have been told that they will charge me for parts and labour as they did not make any profit from the sale of it. I will not be buying anything else of a foreign firm again as it is a load of hassle to get it repaired. In my eyes it is up to SeaMe to replace or refund my money, but once they have your money they have the upper hand. Eric
Hi Eric
Bit of a pain that one. Very annoying. Understand where your coming from though.

Hi Kev. I have had a word with a friend of mine about what to do and he says that SeaMe by law should either replace it or refund me my money. So they are getting an email sent now to say what i want to happen. :) Eric
Good luck. Fingers crossed they will not be awkward.

Hi Kev I sent it back to SeaMe last Tuesday and they recieved it on Thursday and sent it on to Tunze. So at present i am waiting to hear from SeaMe as to what they are going to do, i did say in a letter i put in the parcel that i wanted it replacing or a refund in 14 days as i was not going to wait another 7 weeks for one to come from Tunze.
